Established in 1905 by Baudilio Casaponsa, Hijos De J. Casaponsa, S.A. is a four-generation family-owned business that has been producing traditional charcuterie for over 100 years. It is located in Vall de Bianya, Girona―in northeast Spain, just 110 km from Barcelona―and is right in the heart of the volcanic area of La Garrotxa, a region renowned for its meat industry and dry-cured meat production.
Casaponsa has 8,000 m2 of facilities equipped with production systems that are continuously adapted with the latest technological innovations in order to comply with the highest food safety standards. It is a holder of the BRC and IFS quality certifications and is audited annually since 2007, always achieving the highest quality scores and rigorously ensuring the integrity of its entire production process and products.
Casaponsa currently serves over 200 domestic customers and export to more than 25 countries worldwide. Most of its exports are to other European countries, but it is also increasing its exports to Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
