The outer shell is solid mozzarella, while the inside contains stracciatella (shreds of stretched fresh cheese) and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture. Burrata is smooth on the outside, lustrous white, and has a mild buttery taste.

USAGE

Thaw overnight in the chiller before use. Serve at room temperature with cold cuts, pesto sauce, honey, and dried fruits. Burrata goes well with salads, crusty bread, or fresh tomatoes with olive oil.
